The container glass industry closed out 2025 with a 1.8 percent drop in revenue to EUR 2.55 billion (2024: EUR 2.60 billion). Both domestic and foreign revenue shrank. Domestic revenue fell by 1.3 percent to EUR 1.78 billion (2024: EUR 1.80 billion) and foreign revenue by 2.7 percent to EUR 768 million (2024: EUR 789 million).
The export quota declined to 43.9 percent in 2025 (2024: 45.4 percent). The export value also fell by 7.3 percent to EUR 1.39 billion (2024: EUR 1.50 billion).
In 2025 the import quota was 24.9 percent (2024: 24.0 percent). The value of imported goods stood at EUR 588 million, which is 3.3 percent above the previous year’s figure (2024: EUR 569 million). The foreign trade balance showed an export surplus of EUR 801 million (2024: EUR 929 million), corresponding to a 13.8 percent year-over-year decline.
