The glass industry closed 2022 with a 24,3 percent increase in turnover to EUR 12,7 billion. Domestic and foreign turnover contributed equally to the strong growth: Domestic turnover rose by 26,2 percent to EUR 7,58 billion, foreign turnover by 21,7 percent to EUR 5,09 billion.
The number of employees in the glass industry was 54,000.
