2. Scope of validity
This data privacy statement explains the nature, scope and purpose of the personal data that the Federal Association of the German Glass Industry (BV Glas) collects and uses when people visit this website pursuant to the Federal Data Protection Act, the German Telemedia Act, the General Data Protection Regulation and the ePrivacy Regulation.
BV Glas takes the protection of your personal data very seriously and all personal data are treated as confidential in accordance with the effective data protection laws.

a) Website use

b) Members section log in
BV Glas only collects personal data for use of the members section of its website. This data includes name, job title, company and e-mail address.
When you register, you consent to the use of your personal data for access to the members section.
You have the right to revoke your consent with future effect at any time.
c) Association activities, particularly committee work
BV Glas represents its member companies’ interests and advises them within the scope fulfilling its statutory duties. In particular, it hosts and invites participants to committee meetings on various topic areas.
BV Glas requires and processes the personal data of member company employees for this purpose. These are generally contact data in order to include people in e-mail distribution lists or to respond to requests for information or clarification. The legal basis for the processing of this data is Art. 6 (1) f GDPR.
d) Contact outside this website
If you provide us with your personal data by presenting us with a business card, contacting us by e-mail or by other means, or if we have obtained your data from public sources, we process and store your data electronically. This is for the purpose of communicating with you on issues of relevance to the association. We store your data until the information interest no longer applies.

You have the right to obtain the rectification or erasure of your personal data, the right to restrict its processing and the right to object to the processing of your data by BV Glas at any time. You also have the right to data portability.
If you have provided your personal data to us on a consent basis, you have the right to revoke your consent with future effect at any time. The personal data concerning you which we store is also deleted when you leave the company that is a member of BV Glas.
If you withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data or object to the use of your data, this does not affect the lawfulness of processing up to the time of consent withdrawal.
