Data privacy statement


1. Scope of validity
This data privacy statement explains the nature, scope and purpose of the personal data that the Federal Association of the German Glass Industry (BV Glas) collects and uses when people visit this website pursuant to the Federal Data Protection Act, the German Telemedia Act, the General Data Protection Regulation and the ePrivacy Regulation.
BV Glas takes the protection of your personal data very seriously and all personal data are treated as confidential in accordance with the effective data protection laws.
Please remember that data transmissions over the internet are never entirely secure. Comprehensive protection against third party intervention is not feasible.


2. Data collection and processing
Every visit to our website and every access of a file on the website is logged. The information that is logged is used for internal system-based and statistical purposes. The following information is logged:

•    Volume of data transmitted
•    Successful access message
•    Web browser
•    Operating system used
•    IP address

and it is generally transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The IP address sent by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not combined with other Google data. The “anonymizelP” function has been activated for Google Analytics on our website. This truncates your IP address so that all data is anonymized.  The full IP address will only be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there in specific, exceptional cases.
At the request of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate the way you use this website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide additional services connected to website use and internet use to the website operator. 5. Handling of personal data
BV Glas only collects personal data for use of the members section of its website. This data includes name, job title, company and e-mail address.

When you register, you consent to the use of your personal data for access to the members section.
You have the right to revoke your consent with future effect at any time. The personal data concerning you which we store is also deleted when you leave the company that is a member of BV Glas.

You have the right under the GDPR to know about the type and scope of personal data concerning you which is being stored, how it was obtained and for what purpose it is used.
